BUILD 2014 is going to be a fairly interesting event for all Microsoft enthusiasts with so many rumors claiming that Redmond is planning to unveil Windows 9 plans at the show, but interest doesn’t seem to be so high this year.

While tickets for BUILD 2013 were sold out in just a few hours, those who want to attend this year’s show can still reserve a seat right now, even though Microsoft officially kicked off registration yesterday.

It’s pretty hard to find one reason why BUILD has lost people’s interest, but the fairly high price ($2095 / €1540) for a ticket could be one possible explanation. BUILD 2014 will take place in San Francisco at the Moscone Center between April 2 – 4 and is expected to witness the debut of Windows 8.1 Update 1, as well as the revealing of new Windows 9 development plans.
