Microsoft yesterday rolled out a new version of the Skype client for Windows, but the company has only now unveiled the official change log for this new build.

According to the company, version 6.13 is mostly supposed to address bugs and performance issues, some of which caused a high CPU usage when running Skype.

“Some of you have reported that your computer processor usage is high when Skype for Windows desktop is running with Chrome as your default browser. We’d like to let you know that we have identified and fixed the issues with this update,” the company explained.

At the same time, the new version addresses stability issues with group video calling and high DPI mode, so improved performance should be obtained after deploying the update.

Overall, this is quite a necessary update for all Windows users, so download Skype 6.13 right now to get all these bug fixes.
