A new version of the popular Skype VoIP client is now available for download, bringing a number of performance improvements on Windows workstations.

Even though new features are now available, the Skype team has explained that users are strongly recommended to download and install the new version, as it packs updates to the quality and the stability of the application.

Skype 6.3.32.107 can be deployed on basically every Windows version on the market, including XP, Vista, 7 and 8, with a standard webcam required for launching video calls.

It’s not yet clear whether Microsoft plans to make the same changes to the Metro version of Skype too, but more information would most likely be provided soon together with new details regarding this update.
