14 DAY TRIAL // A petition created to convince Snapchat to develop an official app for Windows Phone has recently reached 20,000 supporters, only a couple of months after having been published online.
Snapchat is yet to create its very own client for Windows Phone and the company has recently decided to ban all third-party apps that allowed users to connect to the service, so those currently owning a device powered by Microsoft's mobile operating system have no option to access it.
The petition published on change.org got the necessary votes really fast, as it was promoted pretty much all over the world and on all Windows Phone communities, where users of Microsoft's mobile OS discussed the recent Snapchat decisions that made it impossible to connect to the service.
Until now, Snapchat has remained completely tight-lipped on any plans to launch a client for Windows Phone and the parent company hasn't offered any hint that this could indeed happen any time soon, but Microsoft itself certainly heard the voice of its users and could get involved to make it possible to access Snapchat from its phones.
This is actually one of the problems that are still plaguing Windows Phone, as several important apps are still missing from the store, so unless Microsoft itself works with big companies, as is the case of Snapchat, it could be impossible for users to access certain apps especially when no third parties are joining in to create alternatives.
