Despite the rumors about Microsoft’s plan to bring back the Start button in the stable release of Windows Blue, third-party developers continue to come up with solutions to cover the functionality of the orb.

Start Menu Reviver (free of charge) is among the most recent releases in the category and proposes a solution that not only looks fresh but is also touted as being suitable for touchscreens.

It is has a design inspired by the modern UI introduced in Windows 8 and offers access to Network and Sharing Center, Run dialog, a list of recent items as well as power options (shutdown, restart, sleep, log off, lock, hibernate and switch user).

Furthermore, it can be used to launch both regular desktop applications and the modern apps pinned on the Start Screen.
