Today, Totalidea Software rolled out a minor update for StartBar8, an application that has been designed to bridge the gap between the classic desktop and the modern UI in Windows 8 and 8.1.

The developer labels build 1.0.2 of the application as a service release that includes fixes for a few minor issues. However, no details have been made available to indicate the exact problems that have been tackled.

The previous revision of the application contained a few code modifications that related to newly supported localizations. Optimization of the internal code was also on the list, along with the promise of minor fixes and improvements.

StartBar8 ($14.93 / €10) facilitates access to different areas of the operating system by adding a side bar under Windows 8 and above. It allows easy reach of entries in the start menu or the recently used programs.
