Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer has finally confirmed he’s one of the investors trying to bring NBA back to Seattle, explaining that buying the Sacramento Kings and moving them to the city is a huge opportunity.

Ballmer was quoted as saying by CBC Sports that the A PLUS youth program held Seattle is the living proof that the city is really interested in sports in general, and basketball in particular.

“Today is about A PLUS. I will say that we've got our fingers crossed. Chris Hansen has worked really, really hard, really intelligently. Seattle has got a great bid. We've got a great arena plan. I think we've got the better arena plan. We've got a good offer, it's been accepted by current owners. We've got a great market. It seems like there will never be a better opportunity. But it will be up to the NBA owners,” he said.

Steve Ballmer is a key member of a larger investor group trying to purchase the Sacramento Kings from the Maloof family and relocate the team to Seattle.
