The Microsoft CEO wanted to bring an NBA team back in Seattle

Microsoft CEO Steve Baller, an avid basketball fan, wanted to bring back the sports in Seattle by trying to buy the Sacramento Kings and relocate the team to his home city.

It appears, however, that this plan might be blocked after all, as the league’s team owners have decided to block the investor group planning to buy the Sacramento Kings from moving it to Seattle if the deal goes through.

Basically, Steve Ballmer and the other investors currently holding talks would still be allowed to purchase the Sacramento Kings, but given the fact that the relocation played a key role in the takeover, the two sides may very well fail to reach an agreement.

Steve Ballmer will most likely refuse to comment on this, but expect the Microsoft CEO to go on with his plans to bring NBA basketball in Seattle even if the talks between the two fail to come to a conclusion.
