As I've reported to you a few days ago, the December 2013 firmware update for the Surface Pro 2 fails to install in some cases, while many users are experiencing blue screen of death errors all of a sudden.

Others, on the other hand, are complaining that the tablets are waking up from sleep all by themselves after successfully applying the firmware update. In some cases, the battery is also getting quickly drained, probably due to other issues with the firmware update.

“Have noticed a few times now that my Pro 2 is waking itself from sleep and not entering it again. Happened first Tuesday night. I had shut it down through the charms menu. Had a full charge when I went to bed. Got up and the battery was drained. Happened again last night. I had put it to sleep and it later I noticed the screen on,” one user explained.

Microsoft hasn't yet released a statement on this, but given the fact that so many users are experiencing issues with the firmware update, the company shall release more updates for Surface Pro 2 tablets anytime soon.
