The latest release of the Sysinternals suite brings along a new version of the Process Explorer utility, now available for download as version 15.2.

According to the application’s release notes, this is a major update of the tool, which comes as a Task Manager replacement.

The release merges Autorun's functionality through the addition of a new Autostart Location column and property to the process, along with DLL views to show where an image has been set to automatically start or load.

Moreover, the new version of Process Explorer comes with .NET stack walking support to the thread stack dialog, and it also includes a process timeline column designed to graphically depict a process’s lifetime compared to other processes.

The tool has been designed to use the Windows 8 private ETW logger, so that improved coexistence with other ETW tools is provided.

Process Explorer 15.2 can be downloaded via this link. It is also available as part of the Sysinternals Suite.
