Tapatalk is a very popular app that lets users access online forums straight from the Modern UI of Windows 8.1, but until now, it only supported the ARM build of the operating system installed on Surface RT tablets.

Starting today, however, Tapatalk also supports x86 and x64 builds of Windows 8.1, so you can now install it on every single version of Microsoft’s modern operating system.

It also comes with a collection of new features, including new user tour and onboarding process, a topic and news feed, images displayed right in the topic list, but also push notifications and toast support.

“Tapatalk is the only mobile app combining over 50,000 internet communities in a streamlined mobile experience. Fast and accessible features allow you to read posts, share photos, and keep updated on private messages in all your forum communities within a single mobile app,” developers claim.

On the good side, the application comes with a completely optimized for the touch interface, so it’s quite easy to access your favorite communities from a Surface RT tablet.

Overall, there’s no doubt that this is an update that comes in handy to many users of Microsoft’s modern OS, so download Tapatalk for Windows 8.1 to see what’s new.
