The News app that’s pre-installed on all copies of Windows 8 has received a brand new update today, so adopters of Microsoft’s latest operating system should launch the Store and get the new version as soon as possible.

There are no details on what’s new in this particular version, but given the fact that it’s only a minor update, expect the News app to come with performance improvements and updates supposed to fix some of the bugs found on specific devices and Windows 8 builds.

The News app is currently available in a total of 106 languages and supports all versions of Microsoft’s operating system, including the desktop and the tablet flavors.

“Designed for Windows, the News app puts control at your fingertips. Swipe through for a quick read of the headlines. Go deep with personalized coverage of the topics you're passionate about. Or, search the day's stories from your choice of trusted sources from around the world,” the updated app description published in the Store now reads.
