Redbox has just launched its own Metro app for Windows 8, so adopters of Microsoft’s latest operating system can now easily browse DVDs and game tiles without even leaving the Modern UI.
At the same time, the app includes dedicated options to find the closest Redbox, watch trailers for the latest releases, and even reserve movies and games.
Of course, it’s offered free of charge to Windows 8 users and can be installed on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.
“The official Redbox app takes your rental experience to a whole new level. Find a box near you, then look inside to see what’s for rent. Find a movie or game you want? Click ‘Reserve’ and check out, and we’ll save you a copy to pick up later that day,” the app description reads.
