14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft recently rolled out a special program to allow businesses to purchase Surface tablets in bulk, but it appears that the United Kingdom is receiving a pretty special treatment.
According to a report by IT Pro, UK enterprises can purchase Surface RT and Pro tablets at a lower price than end users, an unannounced promo that doesn’t seem to be available in the United States.
A Surface RT tablet with 32 GB of storage space is available in the UK at £332.50 (€394.60 / $505), which is £66 (€77 / $100) than the consumer price, the aforementioned source notes. The 64 GB version without a Touch Cover is also more affordable for businesses, as they have to pay £399.17 (€470 / $606), as compared to £480 (€565 / $729) for an end user.
In the United States, on the other hand, both consumers and businesses have to pay from $499 (€387) for a Surface RT tablet, while the most expensive version is the Pro model with 128 GB of storage space sold for $999 (€774.5).
