Although not advertised as RC2 on the download page yet, a new µTorrent build (26508) has emerged. The new release features both fixes and some changes regarding the display of torrent state and the application column.

Repairs address the flickering progress bars for checking torrents and a shutdown hang caused by hash jobs.

As for the modifications available in the latest build, the state of the torrent should now be clear to users when flushing data to disk is performed.

Thus, the 99.9% completion state should no longer be present for the entire time the file is actually written to disk. There is actual progress indication for this task.

Although the RC2 label may indicate that the release of a stable version is around the corner, some users still report issues that need to be addressed, some of which involve functionality on Windows 8.
