The previous beta for Total Commander 8.0 looked like a promising release candidate for the stable version of the program. However, the developer released a new beta, filled with fixes for both the 32-bit version and the 64-bit one.

Total Commander 8.0 beta 18 takes care mostly of minor, but nagging problems. Examples of such issues are a resizable nag screen, changing the sort order in thumbnails view would prevent the cursor from scrolling into view when in first row or showing the "Files modified" warning twice if the file was modified again while the dialog was shown, upon content comparison.

On the other hand, more important problems have also been solved, such as an error occurring when clicking on “Add” more than six times in the directory hotlist (Ctrl+D). Also, TC would sometimes change to drive C: when removing a device of type PORT, not only in the case of an HDD.
