It adds thumbnail support in virtual folders such as libraries

A new public beta (15) for Total Commander 8.50 emerged on Wednesday, bringing to the table a slew of repairs for both the 32-bit and the 64-bit release. A new option has also been integrated, allowing users to view thumbnails in virtual folders (e.g. libraries), with no internal caching being done.

One bug that affected the functionality of the file manager on Windows 8 refers to redirecting to hard-linked directories when launching a file and a newer version of IE 10.

Another glitch reported as eliminated touches on prompting the user multiple times to input the same password in the case of some 7-Zip archives.

The developer also solved the issue with the context menu being opened on touch-friendly devices with a long tap on the screen, in the synchronization dialog.

Furthermore, users of FreeArchiver can now run self-extracting installers in Total Commander and the program should no longer freeze upon accessing network shared locations (admin shares) when checking for shared folders.

The list of bugs gets smaller and smaller with each development and a stable release for Total Commander 8.50 should not be very far away.
