Cerulean Studios released a new build for Trillian Astra for Windows, which encompasses a hefty suite of bug fixes. Although no new features have been added, the new Trillian improves compatibility with the supported instant messaging protocols.

The repairs take care of issues with protocols ranging from MSN and AOL’s OSCAR to Skype and XMPP.

Problems vary from wrong encoding for offline messages, failure to auto-reconnect in some cases to mass message issues in the case of Skype and AOL’s OSCAR (Open System for CommunicAtion in Realtime) protocols.

Trillian Astra 5.1 build 16 also touches on the configuration panel, and mends the option to disable YouTube and web previews as well as the option to turn off image uploading for synchronization.
