Ubi Interactive, one of the companies that took part in Microsoft’s Kinect Accelerator program last year, announced a new application that basically turns any wall into a full-featured touchscreen.

The software solution is based on Kinect for Windows software, so with a Kinect sensor and a projector, you can easily turn an ordinary surface into a touch-capable device.

Pricing for the application starts at $150 (€110) if you wish to use it on a screen of up to 45 inches, while the $380 (€285) and $800 (€600) licenses provide support for displays of up to 100 inches.

“By making it possible to turn any surface into a touch screen, we eliminate the need for screen hardware and thereby reduce the cost and extend the possibilities of enabling interactive displays in places where they were not previously feasible—such as on walls in public spaces,” the company said.
