Tweetium has quickly grown in popularity and is now one of the top Twitter clients on Windows 8.1, providing quite a rich feature package appealing to both desktop and tablet users.

As a result, it’s not at all surprising that the developing team is working so hard on the project, which means that updates are being released on a daily basis.

Today, version 2.1.2 was submitted to the store, bringing several bug fixes and feature improvements that are recommended for all those who have already installed the app.

First of all, the new build fixes a recent regression that prevented conversation views from showing replies to the selected tweet, according to the official release notes, but also a “rare crash when dismissing the image viewer.”

Last but not least, the new build comes with animation and performance improvements for switching views, especially on lower-end hardware that was experiencing problems with the app.

The update is of course aimed at both desktops and tablets running the app, as Tweetium provides support for Windows 8.1 x64, x86, and ARM builds.

Overall, if you’re one of the many users of this particular Twitter client, you can either get the update from the store or download Tweetium 2.1.2 manually to install it on your device right now.
