The application now features two modes, one for advanced users and another for novices, who can opt for a “one-click” defragmentation procedure. This does not trim down the quality of the optimization, but denies access to more advanced tweaking options.
With Ultimate Defrag 4 you can increase performance for specific programs by selecting their name from a list. Files on your computer can benefit from the same performance boost. This is achieved by placing the data in the high-speed parts of the hard disk. The procedure can be completed manually or automatically, according to your file usage patterns.
Additional new features include the ability to perform file usage database maintenance operations as well as schedule actions after defrag is complete.
