VirtualBox 4.1.10 has been rolled out recently as a maintenance release tackling various issues, from 3D-related problems to guest control problems. However, there are plenty of additions, referring to Linux, Windows, OS X and Solaris.

Among the most important additions available on all supported platforms is support for SSL/TLS.

Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) has been improved, as a potential guest memory corruption issue with page fusion has been removed. 3D support has also been touched on, with rendering fixes for Linux hosts with NVIDIA graphics and eliminating “powershell_ise” crashes with WDDM driver.

OS-specific changes include support for X.Org Server 1.12 on Linux, fixing Python support on Lion or repairing guest kernel driver to load properly on guest reboot in the case of Solaris. As far as Windows is concerned, there are some Windows 8 adaptions and several fixes for shared folders.
