Microsoft has erected a gigantic Surface tablet in the center of London, in an attempt to give Britons the chance to experience the capabilities of its new device in a pretty unique way.

The device is 27 foot (8.2 meters) wide and 17 foot (5.1 meters) high, and comes with a 383-inch screen connected to a purple Type Cover.

It turns out that Microsoft spent no less than 13 days to set up this tablet, and the whole building process can be seen in a short clip released by the company this morning.

Both the Surface 2 and the Surface Pro 2 are already on sale in the United Kingdom, so Britons who wish to try out the new device can still step on the gigantic unit displayed in Trafalgar Square.

There's still no word on how much time Microsoft is planning to keep the 383-inch Surface in the center of the city.
