Microsoft’s new CEO Satya Nadella has already promised to focus more on innovation and completing the company’s transformation plan to devices and services, but the man who has spent more than 22 years at the Redmond-based software giant has detailed his intentions in a new interview with Susan Hauser.

Nadella talked in front of several customers about Microsoft’s long-term strategy, explaining that the emphasis will be put on innovations and bridging the experience across devices, including PCs, tablets, and smartphones.

He explained that each user category would get a different experience depending on the device they chose, but the core platform would remain the same.

Of course, Nadella would work together with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on future projects, and while this is clearly a sign that the company would focus more on consumers, the new CEO also faces shareholder pressure as a couple of investors want him to discontinue Xbox and Surface.
