Windows 98 is undoubtedly one of the most popular Windows versions to date and, even though only a few are still using it today, some keep this old version on dual-boot systems.

Aside from the fact that Windows 98 no longer receives updates and fixes from Microsoft, it works like a charm with older versions of some software solutions, even though it’s basically impossible to run the latest builds of browsers, email clients or anti-virus tools.

As you can see in this video, Windows 98 does manage to deal with older software, but it however encounters several performance issues when it comes to new technologies and applications.

On the good side, it’s still one of the most stable operating systems to date and in case you don’t need anything else writing in Notepad or drawing in Paint, Windows 98 is an easy choice.
