Lumia 930 launches in a very special edition

Last week, Microsoft launched a brand new version of Lumia 930 that came with a golden finish and thus offered a premium feel to the company’s own 5-inch flagship device, but since many buyers actually wanted the real deal (to be read “a 930 made of gold”), the company truly delivered it.

As GSMArena reports today, this limited-edition 24K gold-plated Lumia 930 that you can see in the photo gallery below is currently available in Vietnam only, and there are no details as to when the company might bring it in some other markets.

This is not the creation of the Redmond-based tech giant entirely, as it was designed with the help of Vietnamese luxury brand Karalux, so Microsoft doesn’t take all the praises this time.

What’s more, Microsoft has even embossed the “24K Gold Plated Nokia Lumia 930” branding on the side of the phone to make sure that everyone notices how special this device actually is, so there’s no doubt that you’ll catch everyone’s attention when pulling this phone out of your pocket.

It appears that only 99 units are available in Vietnam and they sell for 18,000,000 Vietnamese Dong ($842 / €750), according to the same source.

If you’re wondering, the same specs as for the standard Lumia 930 are still being offered, so you still get a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080x1920px, a 21-megapixel camera, and 2GB of RAM to make sure that all apps run smoothly on your device.
