Microsoft adds another subtle tweak to Windows 10 desktop

Windows 10 build 10147 has gotten leaked earlier today, so we can finally have a look at some of the improvements the company has made even though no new release is available via the official channels.

As you can see in this screenshot, the clock and date flyout comes with transparency, which is clearly one of the best visual effects that Microsoft can add right now in the operating system and which is also available in the Start menu.

The same transparency blur effect that’s being used for the Start menu is also employed here, and at first glance, there’s no doubt that it really looks great on the desktop.

But what’s more interesting is that the flyout can be also customized with the accent color that you choose in the personalization screen, so it can take whatever color you want, thus matching the visual style of the operating system.

All these visual tweaks and even more are expected to be included in the next version of Windows 10 preview for Windows insiders, which, according to the latest information provided by Microsoft itself, is highly unlikely to debut this week.

Right now, the entire Windows team is focused on fixing bugs and giving the very last touches to Windows 10 ahead of the big launch on July 29.
