A more appealing UI is envisioned in a new concept

After years of waiting for a notification center, Microsoft is finally bringing one in Windows 10, and everyone can already give it a shot by deploying the Technical Preview build available as part of the Windows Insider Program.

The existing design of the notification center is rather simple, and while there are some rumors that Microsoft might in the end revamp it completely and add some new features, nothing is sure until now.

That's why some designers out there decided to take the matter in their own hands and created new notification centers which not only that look really good, but also boast options which would really make sense on such a feature.

Such an example is the attached notification center created by wwsalmon and which is based on a previous concept made by another DeviantArt user.

As you can see for yourself by clicking on the first picture in the photo gallery, the envisioned notification center features a new look with a big dismiss button which also seems appropriate for touch-capable devices.

And yet, there are many ways to improve the notification center even further. For example, one of the most requested features in Windows 10 right now is the possibility of performing quick actions right from the notification center, and some people close to Microsoft's plans said that the company was already considering such an update.

Of course, nothing is confirmed so far, but the notification center should be ready in all its glory in the consumer preview build expected to see daylight by the summer of 2015.
