Microsoft will give users more choices in Windows 10

While Windows 10 Technical Preview doesn’t reveal too much in terms of visual tweaks on the desktop, the last couple of days have brought us several leaked screenshots confirming that such changes are indeed planned for the upcoming operating system and Microsoft might be implementing them in the January Technical Preview build expected this month.

And now, rumor has it that Microsoft could offer both a dark and a light theme in Windows 10 in order to give users more choices and to make their desktops look exactly the way they want.

While we’ve already seen the dark theme in a leaked photo that has also revealed what Spartan browser could look like in Windows 10, the light version is still an enigma for all of us, and chances are that Microsoft is still working on it as we speak.

Another leaked screenshot that has reached the web through Chinese sources this morning might actually show an early version of this light theme, but again, details are really scarce right now, so it’s hard to speculate on this feature.

On the other hand, seeing Microsoft implementing more customization options in Windows 10 is definitely a good thing, especially because the new operating system is supposed to fix everything that went wrong in Windows 8.

The dark theme is one of the most requested features on UserVoice, so it’s also proof that Microsoft is indeed listening to what users are saying after testing Windows 10.
