This is what the upcoming Mail app will look like in Windows 8.1

The final version of Windows 8.1 will come with a completely redesigned Mail app that will also include several new features supposed to help users make the most of the Metro UI.

A new set of screenshots posted by LiveSide.net reveal the new interface of the Mail app that will be released as part of the RTM version of Windows 8.1.

As you can see for yourselves in the photo gallery below, the Mail app will come with an improved left sidebar, better snap view mode support, contact cards with a Skype chat buttons and Outlook.com integration.

In addition, the Snap View mode support will allow users to read and write email messages side by side, without the need for closing another window.

According to previous reports, Windows 8.1 is projected to hit RTM in August, while general availability is expected to be announced in October.
