Windows 8.1 Update 1 is going to launch in March and according to some new reports, Microsoft is very close to finalizing the development process of this new build.

According to Windows leaker WZor, Windows 8.1 Update 1 Build 9600.17025 is now compiled, which means that a new version is now available for partners. It turns out that the update is still delivered in the form of an MSU file, with leaks very likely to reach the web soon.

Not much is known as to what’s new in this build, but expect only small changes, as Microsoft continues efforts to improve performance and fix some bugs.

Previous reports have indicated that Windows 8.1 Update 1 is set to be unveiled in April as part of Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday cycle, with the pack to be delivered to users via the integrated Windows Update feature.
