The Windows 8 Store continues to grow, so more and more developers are now porting their apps to work on Microsoft’s new operating system.

While some famous apps are yet to land on Windows 8, third-party developers have been hard at work to create Metro versions of their tools, so you can now find Twitter and Facebook clients, shopping solutions, and sport apps right in the Store.

According to MetroStore Scanner, an unofficial service that tracks the apps listed in the Store, there are more than 80,000 Metro tools available for download right now, with approximately 1,000 new entries published every day.

At the same time, Microsoft continues its efforts to convince more devs to create apps for Windows 8, especially because the debut of Windows 8.1 is quickly approaching.
