Windows 8 may still be a disappointing product according to some analysts across the world but, as far as the market researchers at StatCounter are concerned, it gets more and more users every day.

According to new data for the week of March 17, Windows 8 has reached a market share of 3.77 percent, while Windows 7 continues to be the number one with a share of 52 percent.

Just like Neowin.net writes, Windows XP remains an amazingly popular operating system with a share of 23.86 percent, while Mac OS X takes third place with 7.58 percent.

This is clearly good news for Microsoft, even though Windows 8 is still increasing its market share at a very slow pace. And still, if we are to trust some analysts out there, Windows 8 would most likely skyrocket in the coming months, especially thanks to the arrival of the highly anticipated Windows Blue.
