More and more apps are submitted to the Store these days

Windows 8 is yet to take off, even though more than 5 months have passed since its launch, and the lack of apps is still considered one of the main setbacks of the new operating system.

The good news is that the number of apps submitted to the Store per day has grown a lot lately so, according to MetroStore Scanner, an unofficial service that keeps an eye on Windows 8 apps, Microsoft is now publishing more than 1,000 apps every day.

While the quality of these apps might not be the best we’ve seen in an app repository, it’s still a good thing that more developers are finally embracing Windows 8, especially because some large companies have decided not to create Modern apps at all.

In the meantime, Microsoft continues its efforts in this regard, so the company recently launched a new promo aimed at iOS developers, with a Windows 8 and Parallels copy offered for only $25 (€19).
