LG G Flex 2 has its very own Glance View feature

Glance Screen is pretty much one of the best ways to see missed calls, received emails, and messages on a Windows Phone device, and there's no doubt that it's most likely the only true implementation that could successfully replace the traditional LED notification light.

But while Glance Screen is not available on some Windows Phone flagships (sorry Lumia 930 buyers!), it appears that those who would soon buy an LG G Flex 2 could also get a very similar feature.

The so-called Glance View doesn't come only with a name that reminds of Glance Screen but also with features that are clearly inspired by Nokia's very own feature which is now available on Lumia devices.

In LG's case, Glance View displays information such as missed calls, messages, time and date when users perform a swipe down on the curved screen, thus getting a peek at what they missed even when the display is off.

In Lumia's case, Glance Screen displays missed calls and notification on the screen without any input required, so at first “glance,” Microsoft's users are still getting better functionality.

Is LG copying Nokia's/Microsoft's feature? Not quite, but it's pretty clear that this option is more or less inspired by Glance Screen and it's hard to deny it when seeing both in action.

And still, Glance View only makes the LG G Flex 2 a better device, but its tech specs are already impressive. The curved phone comes with a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1080px, 2 GB of RAM, up to 32 GB of internal storage space, and a 13-megapixel camera on the back.
