14 DAY TRIAL // XnView reached a new build recently, one that doesn’t bring to the table new features but focuses on repairs and does away with vulnerabilities.
The new release is 2.05 and it is available as a portable download, too. It shows a short list of changes announcing that the developer dealt with a Secunia advisory (SA52101), but no specific details have been released about the problem.
One glitch that affected the functionality of the program refers to Auto-deskew option, which would not work as it should when applied on batches. In previous releases of the program, the result of such operation would be a crash.
Users reported that the issues would manifest only on greyscale images and that the feature worked fine with true color images.
