The most recent version for Yahoo Messenger is 11.5.0.192. We know that it has been available for download for about three weeks now, but the developer took it to their blog to post some details about it only recently.

The release sports mostly stability improvements and plugged some security holes. However, there are no specific details available about any of these.

On the other hand, the voice of the users has been heard and the revision offers the possibility to customize the display of “Recent Contacts” list. Achieving this is not a complex operation as the knob for turning off the display of this information is present under “Contacts” menu, in the “Show/Hide” sub-menu.

Although this is a minor development, users are advised to update as it features fixes for some potential security flaws.
