No changelog just yet, but security fixes very likely

Adobe has just released a new version of its Flash Player, as per the company’s monthly patching cycle that has been synchronized with Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday.

Details are not available just yet, as Adobe only published Flash Player version 24.0.0.186 on its servers, but a changelog is expected to be provided in the coming hours, as the company ships the new release to all users across the world.

But even though there are no release details, Flash Player 24.0.0.186 is most likely a security update, especially given the publishing date - both Adobe and Microsoft are rolling out security patches for their software on the second Tuesday of each month, so it’s natural to expect this new Flash Player version to come with security improvements as well.

As a result, users are strongly recommended to update Flash Player to this latest version, especially given the fact that it remains one of the most vulnerable software solutions at the moment.

Microsoft users will get the new Flash Player version via Windows Update as per the company’s typical rollout - both Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers (in Windows 10) come with Flash Player built-in, so security updates are shipped by Microsoft via Windows Update after they are rolled out by Adobe.

You can manually download Adobe Flash Player (the latest version) using this link or you can wait for Microsoft to release it via WU if you’re an Internet Explorer or Edge user.
