CCleaner has just received a new update on Windows, reaching version 5.24 and boosting the performance of some specific built-in modules that contribute to more effective cleaning.

The official changelog shows that CCleaner 5.24 features improved Firefox history cleaning, as well as better cleaning on session information in Opera and Vivaldi, so if you’re using any of these three browsers, you'd better update as soon as possible because this version really comes in handy.

Then, it’s the pack of goodies for Windows users, as the CCleaner update includes revised Internet Explorer and Edge cache cleaning - Internet Explorer continues to be used by many people out there, while Edge is the new browser that Microsoft is promoting so aggressively these days for Windows 10 users.

Additionally, Windows Explorer benefits from improved most recently used file cache cleaning, the parent company says, adding that monitoring notifications have already received some refinements to work better after the update.

And just like is the case of every other update, this new version includes bug fixes and GUI improvements, so there’s no good reason not to update, especially if you’re one of the many users who think that CCleaner can substantially improve system performance.

Opinions on whether this type of apps boost computer performance or not are still mixed, but if you want to give it a try yourself, go ahead and download CCleaner right now to see what it can do for you.
