While so many developers are jumping ship and decide to abandon Windows Phone in order to focus their efforts on Android and iOS, there are others who actually see the opportunity in building a universal app and coding for Windows 10 devices.

Fox is one of them, as the company has recently launched new applications for Windows 10 devices, including PC and mobile, so anyone can give them a try from the store.

Truth be told, it doesn’t look like Fox actually spent too much time building these apps because they just seem to be web wrappers, but for some reason, there are users who actually like them. It’s probably the content of these apps because they provide access to news and videos from Fox News, but otherwise, the app themselves are not at all impressive.

“With the Fox News app for Windows Phone read the hottest stories of the day, browse through photo galleries, and watch the latest video clips from Fox News Channel! Pin the Fox News app to your Start screen for a snapshot of the top story,” the app description reads (the emphasis here needs to be on the live tile because, yes, you can create a live tile to see the top story).

For the moment, quality is certainly more important than quantity for Windows phones, but as long as there are users who like these apps, it’s a good thing that they keep coming.
