Microsoft’s Lumia 950 XL comes with a 20-megapixel camera that’s capable of shooting stunning photos and videos (or, at least, that’s what Redmond promises, but we’ll find out the truth in our review coming this Saturday), so the company uses every occasion to promote this.

The software giant has thus decided to use the Lumia 950 XL to shoot a 4K video at Australia’s Great Barrier Reef with the help of none other than Stephen Alvarez, the Nat Geo photographer who surely knows what a high-quality camera is all about.

“National Geographic photographer Stephen Alvarez captures the extraordinary landscape and underwater world of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef - one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Shot with Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones in 4k,” Microsoft explains.

Lumia 950 XL’s camera features a 20MP sensor, auto focus with two-stage capture key, digital zoom and 6-lens optics, as well as optical image stabilization and oversampling.

One of the most useful features of the camera, however, is the triple LED RGB flash that helps take better-looking photos in low-light conditions and compensate for altered colors.

Additionally, you also get Microsoft’s Fast Focus feature, 10 cm minimum focus range, and 26 mm camera focal length, but this is generally geek information that regular users aren’t really interested in, but only professional photographers who want to shoot stunning images with the phone are.
