Windows Ink detailed in new Windows 10 ad

Microsoft has been trying to promote some of its products by highlighting features that aren’t available on rival devices such as those manufactured by Apple, and today the company is advertising a Windows 10 feature that’s also missing on MacBooks.

The difference, this time, is that Microsoft doesn’t specifically target Apple with the new Windows 10 ad, but for those who have been keeping an eye on the company’s marketing strategy, it’s not difficult to see that devices running Redmond’s new operating system include exclusive functionality not offered by the Cupertino rivals.

Windows Ink is a new feature that was introduced with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and allows you to write on the screen, create reminders and notes, and so much more with a pen right on the desktop.

“With a click of your digital pen, Windows Ink creates the space for you, even before you log in. Windows Ink Workspace makes it quick and easy to take a note, sketch on a screenshot, or draw an idea,” Microsoft explains in the description of the video posted today.

In the end, it’s a good thing that Microsoft is also promoting its products without directly targeting competition, and this Windows Ink shows that such an approach can be even more successful because it tells more about the actual purpose of a feature. And yet, don’t expect Microsoft to give up on its anti-Apple ads too soon.
