While all eyes are already on the third-generation Microsoft Band, which is believed to have been teased by none other than Surface boss Panos Panay, the software giant keeps improving the current models with new features and bug fixes.

And today, the company has silently released update version 2.0.4829.0 26 R, which doesn’t come with any major changes, but only with bug fixes and performance improvements.

Details aren’t available right now, and Microsoft hasn’t provided a change log for this new version, but anyone can download it through the Microsoft Health companion app right now.

For the moment, it appears that this new firmware update does not fix the live tile error that many users are seeing, but it could address the battery issues experienced with the latest Windows 10 Mobile build.

Many users have complained that battery life dramatically dropped after installing the most recent Windows 10 Mobile build, so this update could come with some improvements in this regard - although it’s expected for the next insider build to include fixes for the battery drain bug too.

For the moment, everyone is recommended to get the new update as soon as possible even though no change log is provided, but we’ve contacted Microsoft to see if more information on this version is available and will update the article should we receive an answer.
