There’s no better time to buy a Microsoft Band because the original model has been heavily discounted directly by the Redmond-based software giant and is now available at its lowest price ever in the United Kingdom.

The first-generation Band, which was launched in November 2014, now costs only £49.99 (€70/$75) in the country, which is a price cut of £120 (€170/$180), according to the information posted by the company itself in the store.

Redmond hasn’t said anything about a possible limited-time offer, but you should really hurry up to buy the Band if you want to because the company could pull the discount anytime soon.

With the second-generation Band already here, the software giant’s making big efforts to clear out inventories of the first model, thus trying to support the adoption of its successor.

The differences between the two devices aren’t that big, but the new one comes with a fresh design that includes a curved screen, plus a barometer sensor for measuring elevation changes more accurately. You can find more information about the device in our Microsoft Band 2 review here.

The first-generation model is thus still worth every penny, and at this point, it’s pretty much the most affordable advanced fitness tracker on the market, so this is really the kind of offer that you can’t refuse. If only Microsoft applied this discount in all markets, and not just the UK!
