Microsoft has often been criticized for ignoring Windows phones and releasing exciting apps on rival platforms first, so it might come as a little surprise that the firm actually brought a preview version of Office Delve on Windows 10 Mobile devices already.

Office Delve, a collaboration tool that allows employees to stay up to date with what documents colleagues are working on within one organization, was officially released in the summer for PCs running Windows 10.

The application was available only as a preview, as Microsoft was working on refining the experience and implementing new features, but during the weekend, the company decided to push an early version to Windows 10 Mobile devices as well with the same purpose.

The preview version of Office Delve is only available for users who are enrolled in the Office Insider program - an effort that’s similar to Windows Insider and which allows participants to try out new Office features and apps ahead of everyone else, and comes with functionality similar to the PC version.

Even though Office Delve is freely available to Office insiders, an Office 365 work or school account is still required to give it a try. The application can be downloaded from the Windows Store on both PCs and mobile devices.

There are no details on when these apps could become available for retail users, but Microsoft is still working on it and more information should be provided soon.
