If you’re already on Windows 10 Mobile and looking into ways to personalize your phone with own ringtones, here’s an app that can really come in handy in this regard.

The so-called Ringtone Maker app is made by Microsoft and is essentially a rebranded version of the old Nokia application that did the same thing and allowed Windows Phone users to create their own custom ringtones.

So you’ll find a familiar interface and working set of features, which should really come in handy to Windows 10 Mobile users.

And speaking of Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft designed Ringtone Maker to be a universal app, but for the moment, it’s only available on smartphones. While you can load the app in the Windows 10 for PC store, there’s no way to install it for the moment, even though the program’s page does mention compatibility for the desktop.

Either way, it’s still a good thing that it works on mobile devices, but keep in mind that it’s still in beta stage for the moment, so a number of bugs could still be found when creating new ringtones.

Microsoft hasn’t said anything about the release date of the final version of the app or regarding the PC version, but more information could be provided in the coming days, as work on Ringtone Maker continues.
