Microsoft might not release new Windows 10 builds this week, but the company is promoting mobile build 14393.105 to the slow and Release Preview rings today.

Windows 10 Mobile insiders enrolled in one of these two rings should be getting a new cumulative update in the phone update section of the Settings screen, and according to Neowin, this update is mistakenly flagged 14393.103.

In fact, after installing the update, the Windows 10 Mobile version is bumped to version .105, which thus aligns the mobile platform with the existing production ring on PCs.

While Microsoft hasn’t provided a changelog for this new cumulative update, it most likely comes down to bug fixes and performance improvements, so there’s only a very small chance to notice something new after installing it.

Most likely, Microsoft is preparing to release the new cumulative update to all Windows 10 Mobile users on Patch Tuesday, which takes place next week. At that point, everyone should be getting the update to version .105, so Microsoft is only trying to figure out if there’s anything wrong with it before pressing the go-ahead button.

Obviously, all users are recommended to install it as soon as possible because it likely includes fixes that contribute to generally improved performance, so there’s basically no reason not to get it on your devices too if you are enrolled in the Insider program.
