Microsoft’s Windows as a Service approach is working like a charm as far as applications are concerned, as the company rolls out new versions of its Windows 10 apps every once in a while.

This time, the company has updated the Mail and Calendar apps that are available for Windows 10, but just like before, the company has forgotten to include a change log to let us know what’s new.

But given the fact that it’s just the first update of the year for Mail and Calendar, it most likely includes only bug fixes and performance improvements, so if you encountered any bugs in the previous releases, make sure you update as soon as possible.

The Windows as a Service approach allows Microsoft to update the operating system and the included apps at a much faster pace than before, with the company now being able to ship all these improvements when they’re ready and without waiting for a certain release schedule.

Windows 10 apps are thus updated regularly, and new versions, which most often include just minor improvements, show up in the store every day on both PCs and smartphones running the new OS.

The Mail and Calendar update is just that, a small update supposed to correct bugs and add some optimizations, so you should also get it as soon as possible.
