14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft continues its work on improving apps on non-Windows platform, and today it’s Android users’ turn to receive new goodies from the Redmond-based software giant.
The Arrow Launcher in the Google Play Store has been updated to version 2.0, bringing several new features and improvements that make it quite an appealing choice for Android users who still want to run some of Microsoft’s services on their devices.
The most important new feature that comes with this version is Office 365 integration, as the launcher now allows you to access Office 365 documents without any Office apps installed. Furthermore, the launcher lets you sign into your account to read and edit documents, while also getting options to find and upload files that are stored on the device to your Office 365 account.
The new version of Arrow Launcher also features new backgrounds, as Microsoft explains that it has “refreshed the stock wallpapers,” but also with memory and performance improvements. Starting with this version, Arrow Launcher’s network activity should drop by as much as 50 percent, Microsoft says, and this should help you save some cellular data usage.
Arrow Launcher is quite a popular app on Android, and the app currently has between 1 million and 5 million downloads, according to the Google Play store, and updates like this certainly make it even more appealing.
