Microsoft has released a new update to its Selfie app available for iPhone users, providing them with a set of new features, including support for selfie sticks.

As you could easily guess by simply reading the app’s name, Microsoft Selfie is a simple solution whose purpose is to make it easier to shoot selfies with an iPhone, benefitting at the same time from features that enhance the quality of the photo and remove noise.

The app can determine age, gender, skin tone, lighting and other photo attributes to enhance quality, reduce noise, and control exposure.

Version 2.1.1, which is now available for download in the iOS App Store, comes with timer support, which makes it possible to take better selfies, especially when larger groups of people are involved. Furthermore, it also adds compatibility with selfie sticks, so if you own such an accessory, this version is the one you need for more natural shots.

The same version includes fixes for a crash issue in airplane mode and also enables the share feature to quickly send a selfie to one of your contacts, which is a must-have for this kind of application.

The application requires iOS 8.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. If you already have it running on your iPhone, the update should be there in the store.
